The first fleet of electric vehicles which have a need to charge in public spaces during the first phase of the market launch, are carsharing vehicles. During the supply-oriented Phase 1 the location concept is focused on their needs, but is at the same time able to be used by all electric vehicles. This will also provide incentives for the expansion of the pool of electric vehicles.
The locations were determined with the help of the traffic simulation tools which are used for all the road traffic planning tasks.
The number of charging facilities determined in Phase 1 is based on the target figures for the e-carsharing fleet given in 2011/2012 by carsharing companies.
